Our Jewellery Warranty
Our Jewellery Warranty
Every piece of Ashes to Gold jewellery is individually made with care by skilled jewellers in our Hatton Garden workshop. We understand the sentimental importance of memorial jewellery and are committed to exceptional craftsmanship and lasting quality.
Our 12-Month Warranty
All Ashes to Gold jewellery is covered by a 12-month workmanship warranty from the date you receive your completed piece.
The warranty covers manufacturing or workmanship faults, including:
- A fault with the construction of the jewellery.
- A stone becoming loose because of a manufacturing fault.
- A clasp, chain fitting or setting failing because of defective workmanship.
- A fault affecting the integrity of the professionally sealed ashes compartment.
If your jewellery develops a potential fault, please stop wearing it immediately, store it securely and contact us. We will arrange for the piece to be inspected by our jewellers.
Where we confirm that the problem is covered by our warranty, we will repair the jewellery without charge. If a repair is not reasonably possible, we will discuss the most appropriate alternative with you.
What Is Not Covered
Our warranty does not cover:
- General wear and tear, scratches, dents or accidental damage.
- Damage caused by impact, crushing, snagging or inappropriate handling.
- Lost jewellery, chains, gemstones or other components.
- Damage caused by another jeweller altering, resizing or repairing the piece.
- Damage caused by exposure to chemicals, chlorine, cleaning products, perfumes or cosmetics.
- Natural wear to rhodium plating, enamel, polished, sandblasted or other surface finishes.
- Changes in finger size or complimentary resizing after the original order has been completed.
- Damage caused by failing to follow our jewellery-care guidance.
- Natural variations in handcrafted, engraved or bespoke jewellery.
Rhodium plating and other specialist finishes naturally wear over time and may require periodic professional maintenance. This is not considered a manufacturing fault.
Memorial Ashes Compartments
Your ashes jewellery should not be opened, resized, altered or repaired by another jeweller. Doing so could affect the sealed ashes compartment and will invalidate the workmanship warranty for the affected area.
If you notice damage or a change around the ashes compartment, stop wearing the jewellery immediately, place it somewhere secure and contact Ashes to Gold for advice.
Bespoke and Personalised Jewellery
Bespoke, engraved and personalised pieces are made specifically for you. Although these pieces may not normally be returned simply because you have changed your mind, they remain fully covered for manufacturing faults and by your statutory consumer rights.
Inspections and Repairs
All warranty claims are subject to inspection by Ashes to Gold. If the damage is not covered, we will explain our findings and, where possible, provide a quotation before completing any chargeable work.
Customers are responsible for securely packaging jewellery returned for inspection. We recommend using an insured and tracked postal service.
Please do not send jewellery or ashes to us until you have received return instructions.
Your Statutory Rights
This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights and does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
